About this Talk
This panel was conducted in the form of an interview with Mogens Lykketoft, the President of the United Nations General Assembly’s 70th session. He touched upon a variety of issues including the role youth plays at the United Nations and in the process of achieving the SDGs, his understanding of moderate optimism and shared his experiences while “Serving the World”.
Mogens Lykketoft became an MP and minister for the first time in 1981 and held a range of positions within the Danish government, including the Minister of Finance, Foreign Affairs, the leader of the Social Democrats and finally the President of the Danish Parliament.
In 2015 he was selected as the President of the 2015 United Nations General Assembly.
